Artist Spotlight with Yonny

Written by Riley Furey

Yonny has continued to evolve as an artist in countless ways since the release of his debut project Ghetto Sunset in 2022, and I wanted to highlight his growth during the past two years up to this point. Whether it's his cinema-quality visuals, his metamorphosis into adding more dance influence into his production, or the way he shares free game on topics like how to layer vocals, it feels like Yonny is exactly where he needs to be on his artistic journey.

One of his latest single's "City In Motion," recently caught fire all the way up to one million streams with the help of a Spotify editorial inclusion and a few viral reels, with that momentum buoying him seamlessly into the rollout for his new project, Hood Spirituals. Hood Spirituals is set for a release in the next few weeks, and at the time of writing, the last pre-release single & title track is out in the world – serving as the perfect entry point to his refined sound.

I've personally been a fan of Yonny ever since my friend Ava Solomon over at NXTWAVE Music Group put me onto him, and his path up to this point has been one of my favorite to keep tabs on over the past few years. The potential I see for Yonny's success is boundless, and I assure you that you'll feel the same way once you dive into him for yourself.
