First up is Ike Dweck with his new single “Sweet Misery.” The track shows Dweck’s versatility, blending elements of pop rock, folk, and Americana into a dark but gripping meditation on pain. With a chorus that finds comfort in misery rather than light, Dweck leans into raw honesty and proves his ability to move across genres while staying true to his emotional core.
Our second mention is for Josh Barton and his debut single “Somewhere In The Mountains.” A fantastic introduction, Barton establishes himself as a force in the budding popular folk movement we are so fond of. With vivid imagery and a hopeful sense of belonging, the track captures escapism as restoration, painting Barton as a promising voice in modern folk.
Finally, we turn to Chesle with “medicine,” released just two weeks ago with BangerOfTheDay. Leaning into a more alt pop rock vibe, the song is sharp, emotional, and confessional, with the cutting line: “they don’t make medicine for all the pain you cause.” Chesle’s mix of vulnerability and defiance makes for a striking closer, and a track that lingers long after it ends.
