asiris - baggy t-shirt (Review)

Written by Riley Furey

Since his breakthrough release of “my friends toyota,” asiris has managed to consistently keep raising the ceiling with the music he makes — which is not an easy thing to do after the viral success and expectations that were sure to come along with it. The Texas native is fresh off of opening for christian-pop royalty Forrest, and he is back with a new single “baggy t-shirt,” which is what I'll be diving into today.

“baggy t-shirt,” is a slight excursion away from what Luke Simpson (aka asiris) usually makes, with this one feeling more playful and light hearted than some of its predecessors. The visuals that come along with it make you reminisce about, or long for a day with friends spent on the beach, and it seeks to inspire you not to take things so seriously.

It's refreshing to see someone who reaches such viral success, continue to take the path less traveled of trusting the process and taking their time with making music — and I know that songs like “baggy t-shirt,” are only a drop in the ocean of what's to come from him. You can stream “baggy t-shirt” below, and make sure to stay tuned with what's to come in the future from asiris:
